The NX Node package provides a subscription for evaluation, how can this fit my free-forever NX Server Free Edition?
The NX Node package provides a subscription for evaluation, namely /usr/NX/etc/node.lic, which will show among the following fields:

Product: NX Server Node
Product Id: LSN
Subscription Type: Evaluation
Expiry: Wed Sep 6 11:24:14 CEST 2006

During the installation of NX Server, the setup takes care of updating the node.lic
according to the server type.

So, if the server is the Free Edition, the node.lic field will be modified to show:

Product: NX Free Edition Node
Product Id: LFEN
Subscription Type: None
Expiry: Unlimited

It will therefore not be necessary to renew the node installation every 30 days unless of course there has been a release and you are interested in updating the software in terms of functionality.
