Offering NoMachine VPN service

VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a service that connects two remote locations into a single local area network segment. For example, If a user working form home connects to his company over the internet with VPN, his home computer becomes a part of his office internal network. Additionally VPN encrypts all traffic between home and office to assure privacy.

A futher evolution of this technology is the VPN provider, to avoid having a machine uncovered during the internet activity, like for example web browsing. VPN service providers have multiple VPN servers across world. A user can connect to one of these servers and VPN connection is established between him and the service provider. Starting from that point all traffic from the client is routed and encrypted via VPN.

After this implementation a NoMachine user connecting, for example, from home (client) to his office (server) will be able to activate a VPN connection mode. NoMachine will reconfigure the network on both sides and NoMachine client will become part of the network where NoMachine server is located.

User will be able to work in his office local network or hide himself in the way that his internet activity will be routed via the server. This option will be configurable.

This functionality is already partially available with ‘Port forwarding' but it is limited to selected ports, not all traffic. Port forwarding will be replaced by a fully functional VPN service.
