NoMachine version 4.6.3 now available

NoMachine makes available today a software update aimed at solving some issues affecting the previous 4.5 release. The new version, 4.6.3, provides fixes for the following problems:

TR04M05214 - A fresh new installation made using a package for update is not blocked
TR04M05249 - Upgrading from NX Enterprise Server 3.5.0 to Cloud Server 4.5.0 doesn't preserve users.db
TR04M05250 - The first session item in the node resource list is empty
TR04M05243 - When VirtualDesktopSharing is disabled, nxserver --history and --list will not show users
TR04M05222 - The NumLock key doesn't work correctly in custom sessions running in floating window mode
TR04M05338 - A wrong behavior occurs when the automigrate option is disabled in the ConnectPolicy server configuration key
TR04M05343 - The nxserver service is started before SSHD on SUSE Linux 11
TR04M05319 - Connecting to the virtual desktop fails if the user belongs to many groups

Important: Automatic updates

From this version onwards, automatic updates will be enabled to check for a new server software version every two days. The server installation will check for available updates and let the administrator decide whether to update or not. This dialog can be disabled if required. The frequency can also be changed by setting the 'UpdateFrequency' key. Please read the instructions available here: Enterprise Client updates continue to be manual.

Manual package update

Please follow the instructions to update your installation manually:

On Windows:

- Download and save the EXE file.
- Double click on the NoMachine executable file.
- As for the installation, the Setup Wizard will take you through all steps necessary for updating NoMachine.

On Mac OS X:

- Download and save the DMG file.
- Double-click on the Disk Image to open it and double-click on the NoMachine program icon.
- As for the installation, the Installer will take you through through all steps necessary for updating NoMachine.

On Linux:

You can use the graphical package manager provided by your Linux distribution or update NoMachine by command line by following instructions below.
If you don't have the sudo utility installed, log on as superuser ("root") and run the commands without sudo.


- Download and save the RPM file.
- Update your NoMachine installation by running:

# rpm -Uvh <pkgName>_<pkgVersion>_<arch>.rpm


- Download and save the DEB file.
- Update your NoMachine installation by running:

$ sudo dpkg -i <pkgName>_<pkgVersion>_<arch>.deb


- Download and save the TAR.GZ file.
- Update your NoMachine installation by running:

$ cd /usr
$ sudo tar xvzf <pkgName>_<pkgVersion>_<arch>.tar.gz
$ sudo /usr/NX/nxserver --update

If you are installing Enterprise Client or Node run respectively:

$ sudo /usr/NX/nxclient --update
$ sudo /usr/NX/nxnode --update
