Incorrect keyboard layout in the NoMachine desktop when language settings on Windows are different

This problem has been reproduced on Windows 10 with English and Japanese language settings.

Steps to reproduce:

1) On Windows, select English keyboard and Japanese as language setting.

2) Connect to the NoMachine remote desktop: the keyboard layout becomes wrong when using the Japanese keyboard layout.

Note that keyboard and language are two different settings, the expected behavior is that the keyboard layout reflects the keyboard settings, not the language settings. However, keyboard and language in use are often the same, so the problem tracked in this TR doesn't occur.

A possible workaround for this specific case (Japanese language) is:

Edit the keyboards file in the NoMachine client installation:

%PROGRAMFILES(x86)%NoMachinesharekeyboards

and change the following lines from:

Japanese,0x0411,Kotoeri,jp,,
Japanese,0x0411,Kotoeri.Japanese,jp,,
Japanese,0x0411,Kotoeri.Japanese.Katakana,jp,,
Japanese,0x0411,Kotoeri.Roman,jp,,

to:

Japanese,0x0411,Kotoeri,en_US,,
Japanese,0x0411,Kotoeri.Japanese,en_US,,
Japanese,0x0411,Kotoeri.Japanese.Katakana,en_US,,
Japanese,0x0411,Kotoeri.Roman,en_US,,

so that the English layout is forced when Japanese language is selected.
