Events are delayed when using USB devices inside a NoMachine session

This Trouble Report is closed. In the current implementation, in order to get the best experience when forwarding an USB device, it's necessary that Internet connection is relatively stable and network latency between the local and the remote machine does not exceed 30ms.

How to use a graphics tablet in a NoMachine session

Our Development Team is evaluating the possibility of implementing the so called "locally terminated" forwarding also for Wacom tablets (it is already used for mouse and hard drives). Note that, if approved, this would be a completely new functionality since it's not related to the current USB forwarding already in place. Implementing such functionality it's not a short time task.

This problem occurs when a USB device is connected inside the NoMachine session: a delay occurs in event handling. For example while working on a graphics tablet, about 1 second of delay is perceived.

This lag is more visible when the NoMachine client is on Windows but is present also on other platforms. When the mouse is moved or its scroll wheel is used or when a keystroke is sent, the lag is no longer noticeable for some seconds.
