NoMachine tray icon is missing in GNOME 3

In NoMachine desktops using Gnome 3, the NoMachine tray icon (!M)  is missing. It should be placed in the notification's panel instead.

As a workaround, users can make this icon reappear as follows:

In Gnome-classic mode, there is a small icon on the bottom right corner of the desktop. Clicking on it makes the NoMachine icon and the bottom panel appear.

In the default GNOME 3 session mode, to make the NoMachine icon and the bottom panel appear, it is enough to click on the bottom edge of the NoMachine window or to drag the NoMachine window border a bit more down.

In fullscreen, please pull the mouse down to the bottom to make the icon (and the bottom panel) appear.

Starting from GNOME 3.26, the drawer showing 3rd party application icons was removed. In order to work around this limitation, the user can install the following Gnome extension:
