    Hi everyone,

Now, I am struggling with a strange NoMachine connection problem.

The story is as follows. I have a workstation with Ubuntu system in my university, and a laptop with Win7 system at hands. I have installed NoMachine 4 server in the workstation, and NoMachine 4 client in the laptop.

Inside the university, I can successfully connect to the workstation from the laptop. But, now I’d like to connect to the workstation at home (external internet). So, first, I connected the university VPN from my laptop. Then, I opened a new session in NoMachine 4 client as usual. Unfortunately, I could not connect to the workstation in the university any more, and always got the error message ‘Could not connect to the server. Error is 138: Connection timed out’. 🙁

So, anyone faced the same problem before? Would you please help my out? Thank you very much in advance!

    Best regards, Max

It could be the VPN blocking you. Tell your VPN administrator that you need to connect from your machine to port 4000 on the server (your Workstation).
