    Hi all,

I am trying to follow this how-to in order to permit per-user virtual desktop environment working: https://www.nomachine.com/AR04K00667

NoMachine Workstation is installed and running on CentOS 6.6 x64. If I configure the “DefaultDesktopCommand” to start Gnome or KDE, the correct desktop environment is loaded when I create a new Virtual Desktop. However if I configure my ~/.xsession or ~/.xinitrc with the start command for the non-default desktop, it seems to be completely ignored.

We are evaluating this product to see if it will meet our needs before purchasing.

    Thanks!

    Hello rjones01,
Please try to set “DefaultDesktopCommand” key without specifying the Gnome or KDE for example:
    DefaultDesktopCommand “/etc/gdm/Xsession”
and please make sure that ~/.xsession file has execute rights:
    ls -l .xsession
    -rwxrwxr-x. 1 nomachine nomachine 6 Mar 26 16:25 .xsession
