How to install NoMachine software in a VMware virtual machine

Download and install your VMware product and set up the virtual machine to run your preferred O.S. among those supported by NoMachine.

For specific issues regarding VMware installation and configuration, please refer to the VMware official Web site: http://www.vmware.com/

Once it is up and running, access your virtual machine, for example via the VMware console. Then ensure that the NoMachine packages you want to install are available on your virtual host.

You may download the latest package suitable for your virtualized O.S. from the NoMachine Web site at: http://www.nomachine.com/download

Please note that for every virtual server instance of VMware that you wish to connect to, one NoMachine server (and therefore NoMachine license file) will be required. So if you have a server machine that will be providing 4 virtual instances by VMware, you will need 4 x NoMachine (Free Edition), or alternatively 4 X any of the commercial NoMachine Subscriptions depending on your needs. The license should be suitable for the number of CPU or cores that the virtual server will be functioning under. Please see the following article for more details: http://www.nomachine.com/AR11B00072.

You can follow instructions provided for each product using the corresponding NoMachine download page or installation guide.

You may find more detailed instructions about installing and configuring NoMachine in the document section for installation available on the NoMachine Web site at:  https://www.nomachine.com/all-documents

After installation of the NoMachine software, you should now be able to access your virtual machine via its IP address, as you would a physical machine.

Remember to install either the NoMachine package or Enterprise Client on the machine that you are connecting from. This provides you with the User Interface you need to run a session on your virtual machine. Starting from v.6, all server products except the free edition of NoMachine support sessions via web.
