NoMachine today announced the release of NoMachine 10, a major update to its remote access platform that builds on the success of version 9 and introduces powerful new capabilities for users, IT professionals, and enterprises. Designed to make remote access even more seamless, secure, and versatile, NoMachine 10 delivers integrated remote terminal access, single sign-on support and significant improvements to Wayland support.

Among the headline features is the introduction of remote terminal access, which lets users run secure remote terminals to any macOS, Linux, or Windows NoMachine system, without requiring a full desktop connection. No need for SSH on the server because NoMachine implements its own remote shell server. Users can connect to machines to execute scripts and carry out admin tasks, all remotely without having to run a full remote desktop. It’s also possible to start a SSH terminal connection on any SSH server to get standard shell access.

Version 10 also marks an important evolution in the NoMachine product portfolio with the introduction of NoMachine Personal Edition. Replacing the former free offering, Personal Edition is a fully commercial product aimed at individuals and businesses looking for reliable, high-performance remote access at an accessible price. Available for just $24.50 as an annual subscription, including technical support, it provides a cost-effective solution for users who depend on secure remote connectivity every day.

NoMachine 10 expands Single Sign-On capabilities in Enterprise products with support for OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect. Alongside existing authentication methods, organizations can now integrate with identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Keycloak, and Google Identity, simplifying access management while delivering a secure and seamless user experience.

The release also strengthens support for Linux users. NoMachine Terminal Server provides full virtual desktop compatibility for GNOME 49 and later running on Wayland, ensuring organizations can take advantage of the latest Linux desktop technologies. At the same time, the addition of VA-API hardware encoding support delivers enhanced graphics performance across AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA GPUs, enabling smoother and more responsive remote desktop sessions. 

Building on the innovations introduced in version 9, NoMachine 10 further enhances NoMachine Network, the technology that eliminates the need for port forwarding and third-party VPNs. Numerous improvements have been made to increase reliability, reduce potential connection failures, and make remote access feel even more effortless regardless of location or network configuration.

Enterprise deployments also benefit from enhanced Active Directory integration, improved Kerberos handling, stronger token management, and refinements to clustered environments. Improvements to automatic connection recovery and node selection help ensure uninterrupted service and greater operational resilience across Cloud Server and Enterprise Terminal Server infrastructures.
