Switching the View Between Multi-Monitors During a Remote Desktop Session

Start your journey to the next level of network computing

With NoMachine you can connect to a remote computer which has multiple monitors attached and decide which of the monitors' content to display in your NoMachine session using the easy-to-use Switch Monitor button. NoMachine automatically detects that multiple physical displays are available on the server side and the Switch Monitor button will be visible in the NoMachine session menu. It's easy to use. Read on to find out how.

Use the Switch Monitor icon

  • Start your connection to the remote desktop which has multiple monitors attached.
  • Open the NoMachine menu using the page-peel or Ctrl-Alt-0 (Fig. 1).
  • Quick Access Display Icons are visible at the bottom of the menu.
  • If multiple monitors have been detected, the Switch Monitor icon appears there. Click the Switch Monitor icon (Fig. 2).
  • Select the monitor you wish to view from the available displays. You can also view all the monitors in one window if you prefer (Fig. 3).
